Dream Trailers: Exploring The Depths Of Self

Digital collage by Adan Gonzalez

Dream Trailers: Exploring the Depths of Self is a multimedia exhibition about the space between consciousness and subconsciousness. Adan's digital collages utilize a jellyfish as a psychological foil, noting concepts of surrender and connection to the greater environment compared to the human experience. Katy's painting depicting fractured floating mass references space colonization and the concept of loneliness.

The images in this show tell a story of perception, and widening ones gaze. Just as Carl Sagan once said "If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe," engaging in the creative practice is an iteration of the past. Are there any new ideas, and is anything original?

Adan Gonzalez is a musician and artist based in San Antonio. He is also a technology applications teacher at the Design and Technology Academy at Ed White Middle School.

Katy Silva is a painter and graphic designer who founded Flax Studio. She is also the Development Director at the Rivard Report.
